Outdoor Dog bedding?

Postby Pelafas » Tue Jul 21, 2020 2:05 pm

Does anybody have any idea what to use. Everything I find on the internet is contradictory to what the last article said. Would like some feedback from people as to what works best cedar, pine shavings, hay, etc...
I read that A soft grass hay works best....but most of my crew end up pulling it out of the boxes and making a general mess of it.

Some dogs don't do well with cedar, especially Western Red Cedar. Bad stuff. I tried hay in a large protected area under my upper deck. I built a room just for the dogs around 10 X 10, same as the deck above. Dogs ended up peeing and pooping in there. Hay probably wasn't fresh, mice etc... didn't smell very good. Good fresh from the field straw might be the best.

Cedar shavings! The smell is awesome and when it loses its potency it's time to change. Great stuff, I have used it for years, give it a try.
