Blue grouse

Dutch got his first Blue Grouse this season, pointed and retrieved! Cool birds. Thought we were gonna get ran over by an elk when I was messing around taking pictures. It sounded like a boulder crashing down the hill towards us. Check out the toe on this bird. His nail had somehow been broken off, exposing a toe bone. Looked like a somewhat recent injury.
