Hummm.... Didn't work. Why won't the page enlarge to accept the photo full size? Or photo size reduced to fit the page? Experts speak up.

Steve-O.. It's an early flintlock model, not visible in photo. Actually have six of them but hunt with only two. This one got retired after restocking with some cool English Walnut and getting a nice dull rust blue job. I use it in photographs but not to hunt with. Bought a newer closed ignition gun a while back to hunt with and keep the others in pristine condition. Have a Magnum gun for when I gotta use 3" non-toxic/steel. Kills ducks and small geese way out there when stoked with a large charge of 2's. Ya ought to see my Model 12's. The 20 bore dates back to 1926.

Nice looking head on that dog Orhunter. Man do I wish I lived closer to chukar country.

I use imgur. You can select from several photo sizes when posting. I use the large because the size larger than that sometimes does not fit. You just click and paste the link. Beauty of it is you only upload the photo once and then can post the link anywhere and anytime after. Keeps your best photos in one spot too. Free for now, expect that will change as it did with photobucket which is what lead me to imgur.

I just followed AG's advise recently with Imgur. It is way easier if you are using a computer. I have not figured out how to use the Imgur from the Iphone yet as the first attempt left me frustrated but not as frustrated as trying to post directly to the site.
You never have to tell a dog what time to be home, give them the keys, and they never ask for money.

Thanks Kent. Couldn't remember exactly what you used. Better get signed up.

That little dog had it all except a competent owner/trainer. Her line lives on and the pup I'm getting in March has her brother on both sides of the pedigree. Hope the new dog lives up to the standards that Ellie demonstrated.

Hey OrHunter-

Izzat a A-5 you said you had in a three incher? Must be a new'n, cause I thought all those old Belgiums were 2 3/4's....? All my buddies shot A-5's and I always had to hack on em about it, with me shooting a SxS with 30 inch barrels. Especially in the Dove fields of Georgia where the A-5 held its prowess, that's where they did their most efficient work clearing the skies of those birds. We used to hunt on a huge PIG farm where it was always a race to get to the downed birds before the pigs did. Man we would have a blast shooting all morning, usually shooting about 4-5 boxes of shells.

Steve: I haven't dated the Magnum or the 2 3/4 Light 12 for shooting lead through but they are newer, like '70's/80'sish. The Magnum is indeed made by FN in Belgium. The others are '56 and older. I shoot A-5's because they fit and are 100% reliable. I bought a newer Invector Plus barrel before they became unavailable so have screw in chokes with the over bore ID. The Magnum is standard 12 ga. bore for Brownings at that time period but Briley gave it a massage for their great screw in chokes. Now if I could only find a Benelli 28 gauge.... or...?

I'm surprised you are not looking for a new A5 Sweet 16. Mine weighs 5.75lbs.

Kent: Have never warmed up to the 16 or the 20, don't know why. Some quirky mental block. It certainly isn't for practical reasons.

I shot the new A-5 before they were on dealer shelves and really liked it despite the lighter weight. I've never shot light guns or O/U's very well but that's because I never shot them enough to get used to them. If I switched between guns of different weights, my kill rate would probably be in the toilet. There is also dealing with different trigger pulls. That alone gives me the flinchies especially when shooting rifles. A creature of habit.

Sooty:

Are me and you neighbors? I live in that cesspool, Beaverton. If you're nearby and want to get together, I'll give you directions to the house. Bring the dog. No mask required.
