Grinding the miles in KS to get the dogs on wild birds. 3.3 miles per covey of Bobwhites and few pheasants along the way. Tried a duck hunt on a frozen pond one morning in 10 degrees - no action. Would have liked to have put her into more birds but Tess learned a lot. Little Gal never stops hunting, hits cover like a terrier.
Ordered a new small camera replacement just now but limited to a cell phone on this trip.

I was just wondering if it was you putting on 3.3 miles/covey or the dog putting on 3.3 miles/covey? 3.3 miles/bird for the dogs for my area of KS is about right.

No that was 3.3 miles for me. Hunted some new ground in a new area for the first time and it was mostly not something I would hunt again.
