It is a 4 blade head, replaceable blades, the main two go to the tip for a cut to the tip max penetration design and the other two are bleeder blades. Just shy of 2 inches of cutting surface, extremely sharp (sharpest of anything I have tested), very sturdy, very accurate.

I like slicktrick heads,,,

Yup, great broadheads. I will always be a fixed blade guy.

Great bull AG, congrats. I set the bow down years ago for birdhunting when I got dogs but I've been rethinking at least getting back out there to do both. Photos and stories like this really stoke that idea.

Thank You Gentlemen.

Ryan, I pick my spots on both bow hunting and bird hunting. Hitting the prime spots at prime time works well for me. Which means 3rd week in September for rutting Bulls and First/Second Week In November for Rutting Bucks. I do some late season hunting over food sources too, hitting the evenings before a big front is moving in and the warmup immediately following a big storm. I think bow hunting whitetails is way more successful hunting the right spot at the right time than putting huge amounts of time on the stand.

AG: I always find the terms, rutting bulls, rutting bucks interesting. The rut is when breeding takes place and is controlled by the females, has nothing to do with the males. Males are able to breed (produce viable sperm) shortly after their horns harden although breeding is still a couple of months away. Our local Roosevelt Elk rut is first week of October, a couple more days, the Blacktail Deer rut is after the 10th of November, similar to your Whitetail rut. Most the female deer (90%) are bred during a 48 hour window with the remainder going into December. The elk rut lasts only four to five days. The bulls are more than willing for another week and a half or so but few if any takers.
