What's with the color on that pheasant on the ground? Is it just a really young bird?

Bird was a very late hatch, wasn't quite sure when he first flushed, thankfully sun was at my back.

Boy those ducks look great. You got more on those 2 straps then I have seen all season. If this weekend doesn't pan out it could be my first season in 5 without a greenhead. That Swan is crazy good stuff. We had a pelican buzz our spread and they seem huge. I just wonder what the heck a pelican was doing smack in the middle of Arizona
