Lost a Friend this month

Postby Michael Medrick » Thu Dec 21, 2006 11:40 pm

Early this month I had to put my friend of a little over ten years down.
Gracy was a brown, white and orange American Brittany. My wife had called her my "girlfriend" during most of her time as our companoin/hunting dog.
Gracy and I hunted quail, pheasantt, doves, snipe, woodcock and ducks(and cottontails too!!! when she pointed a bunny, her little stub woud really wag...) She rarely lost a bird wet or dry. Being in a duck blind was not her favorite thing, but she did a great job under all but the coldest conditions. I was hoping to get a goose for her this year...
Maybe with my next "girlfriend..."
Thanks for reading this...

Sorry to hear of your loss. Sounds like you made her very very happy though when she was here and you have lots of memmories to show for it.
Dogs have shown us how short life is. Enjoy every day and God bless you
