Developing a small munsterlander

Hey all. New here but I see a lot of familiar usernames from other forums. I'm picking up a small munsterlander pup in 2 weeks and I don't see much talk about them on the forum. Any munsty people out there? This is my first pointing dog. I currently have a 9 year old English cocker that's still on speed but I've never trained a pointing dog and from my research I see a lot of things saying their pointing instinct is weak. Just wondering if this is true and are there any munster specific tips to developing a staunch point.

Nice to see this finally approved. My pup is currently almost 5 months old. Haven't done much with her yet other than house manners and starting to get her out running in the woods.
