Greetings all. I have an eleven-year-old wirehaired pointing griffon. Her coat has always been fairly low maintenance with twice yearly stripping and occasional matting on her eartips. Within the past few months her hair seems to be less coarse and prone to matting, especially on and around her face. It’s getting to the point where she may have her first ever groomer’s visit. As she is my first wirehaired breed, my question is whether this is something to expect with old age? Or is there another issue to be concerned about.
Thanks.
