How often do I want to give the 7 in 1 shots and the rabbies vaxine? My dog is seven months old and has had the first rabbies and was given the 7 in one shot series and finished it at about 4 mos. thanks, Andy Andy, once the dog finishes the puppy shot series at around 16 weeks and gets its rabies shot, the vaccines are given annually. In New Mexico the rabies shot is required yearly, in other areas 2 or 3 year rabies vaccines are available. Consult your vet as local ordinances differ. Dr. Mike
