It’s not a warning, just notification of label changes to strengthen the wording not to use the isoxolamides in dogs with a history of seizures.

**yawn** moving on...

The article says, "The Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning that common pet and tick medication can cause serious neurological problems in animals"

I can only go from what the article says.

Yup. Sounded like a warning to me, but, I am not pushing the products for a bottom line.
Ignorance can be fixed but stupid is forever.
Law of Logical Argument - Anything is possible IF you don't know what you are talking about.

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Jim Beam in one hand, Airedale in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

The product label already contained that warning. They are only changing the language to match that of previous drug classes that caused similar effects- to 1 in 1000 dogs.

I’m not sure why it even required notice. If you look at actual percentages of reported adverse effects, this is one of the safest new drug classes introduced in years.

1 in 12 get Lyme, 1 in 1000 have neurological effects (from minor tremors to seizures, not all severe)

I think I will choose option B.

FYI, since I’m not an owner, I get zero credit for sales of flea/tick prevention. Even vets paid on production typically don’t get credit for Parasite prevention and product refills. So no, advocating for these products does not benefit me financially in any way.
