Epiphoria in Puppies

Postby RowdyGSP » Mon Dec 17, 2018 11:47 pm

This was a new one for me. Hadn't heard of it. But a buddy of mine has a brittany pup he just got who his vet diagnosed with epiphoria (excessively watery eyes) and now he is very seriously considering returning the puppy to the breeder. Personally, I think he's making a mistake and I don't see it as a big issue, like hip dysplasia or something like that. In other words I wouldn't return a puppy if it had "excessively watery eyes." What are your thoughts? Anyone have a dog with this condition? Doesn't seem like it would affect its hunting abilities much, if at all.
