Owner Input: "I would be happy to chat with anyone who might be interested in the Standard Poodle as a working retriever. I live in South Louisiana and have had two fun duck seasons with my dog, Cecil. I have also had a lot of fun with him at hunt tests and am currently one of only two people in N. America who has a UKC upper-level hunting retriever title on a Standard Poodle. My dog has a terrific temperment and is a solid reliable duck retriever in the costal La. marshes where I hunt. I'll give you an honest view on the poodle as a field dog---- and the joys of living with a gun dog that hardly sheds a strand of hair!" -- furguspup@yahoo.net
