Owner input:

We just purchased an English Cocker Spaniel (AKC does not differentiate on its registration form) October 1, 2000.

While I have not taken her out in the field yet, she does appear to have a "nose" for birds, especially the ones in our neighborhood. In addition, she loves to "fetch" things, and has been adept at this almost from the day we brought her home. She was born 7/26/2000, so next year will be her first field exposure, but I amquite confident that she will make a fine upland dog. I would not risk her in Florida's 'gator-infested waters as a waterfowler, but she would probably love that, too!
Sincerely, Robert A. Bates
